Dana K. Weinberg has over 22 years of experience in all aspects of commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, construction and investments in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to founding Mid-Atlantic Commercial Realty in 2004, Dana held various asset management and leasing positions with ING Real Estate, Bresler & Reiner, Inc. and RREEF responsible for leasing property portfolios valued up to $800 million.
He has negotiated office, industrial and retail leases and been accountable for the overall investment performance and returns of office, industrial, multi-family,lodging and health care properties. His responsibilities included repositioning assets, value creation and developing and executing business, capital, leasing and marketing plans to maximize value and cash flow.
Dana started a monthly commercial real estate newsletter in September 2009. The first article was titled “The Art of Subleasing”. November’s article was titled “Myth: Hiring a Broker Will Increase Leasing Costs” is rich in content and “take-aways”.
Dana earned a bachelor in science degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a master of business administration from Boston College. He is a licensed real estate broker in Virginia and Maryland.
He is a member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and serves on the following committees: Business Development, Marketing and Sales, Social Media (co-chair), Technology Innovations and The Entrepreneur Center Programs. He is also a member of the Reston Chamber of Commerce and serves on the membership committee and Inc.Spire (business incubator program) advisory council.
Dana resides in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife Karen and their two children, Jenna and Jeffrey. While not working Dana enjoys bicycling, inline skating and inline hockey, reading, traveling, learning and spending as much time as possible with his family.
